The Travels of Guillermo started during the holidays of 2015. Alan was at his extended family's house when talk of a new wooden carved pig on display got a little sideways. When Guillermo was named after Alan's best friend a plot developed no one saw coming. By the end of the night Guillermo had been pig-napped and started his first adventure with Alan and Bill. On the first road trip up Highway 395 it was obvious Guillermo was going to be a star in the Alan's "pig with red lips" Cherokee.
Like most trips Alan takes it starts heading north on Rte 14 to Hwy 395. Guillermo was definitely in the spirit and was busy trying to figure out where the heck he was headed.
But maybe a little unsure which way he was headed.
They bee-lined to Tom's Place, but on the way definitely needed to stop for provisions.
The guys had to get their fish game on, so they got out the next morning and headed to the Owens. It wasn't exactly warm......... but it definitely was beautiful.
When you are up on the Owens you've got to take the time to stop at the Hot Tubs. Nature's best bath, not that I need one or anything like that.
One of the best stops in California, Tom's Place. Amazing dinners, good spirits and wonderful people. Guillermo had a blast at dinner, and even more fun in the bar. The bartender couldn't help herself and even introduce a couple of her Piglet girl friends to Guillermo. He is definitely a road trip worthy companion.
Like all good trips this one too had to end. In the morning we said goodbye to Toms Place and headed back. We'll be back on the road soon, keep checking in to see more of Guillermo and his travels
