Learn a little bit about our owners Alan & Randy:

Alan Miller has started Miller Jeep Builds to channel his passion for Jeeps and trucks. Alan is a SoCal native, US Army veteran, soccer coach and outdoor enthusiast. His first off road ride was dad’s 2 ½ ton military transport doing the backroad run to the dump in Bishop California. His 2nd started a lifelong passion for Jeeps, a 1972 Wagooneer with the “3 speed on the tree”. His third, forth, fifth and sixth have been XJ Cherokees. Yes, that many Cherokees. His latest version is the “Jeep with red lips” you see posted on this page.

After a great but short career as a US ARMY Diver (yes ARMY, trained by the NAVY) Alan opened a few Scuba Diving retail stores. That era found him getting married, having a daughter and enjoying every moment outdoors with his new family. Alas, the stores and wife are gone but his daughter Olivia remains a big part of his life. You’ll probably meet her helping out in the shop or working the used car lot. Weekends filled with Olivia’s soccer and camping was the norm, and they combined both as often as possible.

Now Olivia is a young adult, helping Alan coach soccer and around the shop. Alan is constantly trying to escape to his “paradise” of the Owens Valley around Bishop California. He loves fishing and “Millering” around to find the perfect fishing hole. He’s taken many of the left turns (and rights) off of Highway 395 that are dirt roads to…………, camping, hiking, artifacts hunting, lunch spots, abandoned mines, you name it. His goal is to outfit your vehicle so you can have as much fun as he’s had in his Jeep.

Randall (Randy) Mark is the shop owner of Fox Tire and Auto Center, the new home of Fox4Trucks and Miller Jeep Builds. He purchased the Fox Auto Center in 1992 after training and working with the original owners. His shop is an AAA certified service center, STAR Certified Test and Repair facility, with complete automotive repair and tire services.

Randy’s passion for his family are evident in his hobbies. He’s enjoyed dirt bike riding, motorhome vacations and days on the water with his ski boat. His passion for cars is obvious as he is an ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician. If you can get him to show off his 1972 Chevy Wagon you’ll see his attention to details and craftsmanship.

Today and everyday Randy is working hard to grow his businesses. He is constantly furthering his education and upgrading his shop with the latest in equipment. His businesses now include Fox Car & Truck Sales in Van Nuys. He is working hard to create an all in one service center to meet any of your needs.
